When in doubt…fill your empty wall with a mirror! Not only can mirrors amplify a small space, they reflect light, and they are a clean, neutralizing alternative to a colorful art piece. If you are trying to complete a room that already has a lot of color (because, last i checked, many rooms have four walls, not just one to decorate!) a mirror is designer-approved solution. Let’s think outside the box, here – because mirrors come in all shapes and sizes; you have your sculptural or iconic mirrors:

If you want to create your own decorative mirror for your wall, you can do that too! I am in the middle of a mirror project myself. I would highly recommend following directions that you can find here.

I am in the middle of assembling a mirror to hang over our mantle…but I won’t even tell you how I’ve gone about it. Let’s just say there have been some roadblocks, and my mirror is currently decorating my living room floor.
